After I got accepted to the NordSecMob-Masters programme in Security and Mobile Computing, in addition to compliments, I've got a lot of questions. People keep asking me why I chose this program, why I decided to study in Sweden and Finland, why I didn't study in USA, etc. And, it seems like, in their minds, I made a wrong decision to study in Scandinavia instead of USA, UK or even Australia like most of Thai people do. On the other hand, there was no doubt in my mind that it was the right decision to make. I'm just a bit sick of this kind of questions. I just LIKE this program because it offers me a chance to fulfill my passion to study Computer Security. That's all. Do I need any other good reasons? Besides, I just can't be bothered to justify my decision that Sweden and Finland have actually been very innovative in mobile computing and computer security fields.

As I cleaned up my desk yesterday, I found a leaflet on Erasmus Mundus scholarship. There is a section called "Why Erasmus Mundus?" which give me 10 good reasons to apply for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship as follows:

1. Receive a high-quality education at some of Europe's finest university.
2. Follow a joint study programme combining the strengths of various European universities with different theoretical and paractical approaches.
3. Choose from a wide range of academic disciplines include innovative cross-disciplinary courses.
4. Obtain an officially recognised double or joint degree which opens doors for doctoral studies or interesting careers.
5. Live a truly European experience in higher education by studying in at least two different European countries.
6. Take the opportunity, if you wish, to use two European languages an live in a multilingual environment (although the study programmes themselves are often taught in one language only).
7. Enjoy high-quality welcome and hosting services at the European universities.
8. Enhance your cross-cultural background and develop a more flexible mind-set by studying with fellow students from all corners of the world.
9. Establish long-term worldwide personal and professional relationships, thanks to the EM Alumni Association.
10. Prepare yourself for the global market by enhancing your international knowledge and developing the social confidence and adaptablility you will need to operate internationally.

I think I'd better print these reasons on small cards and always keep them with myself. From now on, if anyone asks me why I chose an Erasmus Mundus programme and wants some fancy reasons, I simply reply him/her "That's my business" and give him/her one of those cards. LoL ^_^
